Ordering and table booking app for restaurants
- The need
- Give a restaurant its own ordering and booking app in its own colours, without building a new one from scratch for every venue.
- The solution
- An installable web app with a menu by category, a cart, takeaway or delivery orders paid online and table bookings that can be cancelled from a link; a single codebase serves several restaurants, recognised by their domain, each with its own database.
- My role
- Own product: sole author of the analysis, architecture and development of the first version.
- Outcome
- A working first version, still a prototype, built in about six weeks, with 6 entities, server-side rendering for speed and SEO, colours that adapt to each restaurant’s brand, confirmation emails and automated tests.
