Project, budget and timesheet software for a digital agency
- The need
- Project budgets and team hours tracked in Excel, with hourly rates that change over time and an actual budget per project that was hard to work out.
- The solution
- Management software with clients, contractors and rates over time, projects with allocated and actual budgets, time entries with approval, and in-app or email notifications, including a daily digest.
- My role
- Sole author and technical lead: analysis, architecture, development, data migration and go-live.
- Outcome
- Historical data imported from Excel through a staged importer (mapping, dry run, reconciliation, confirmation); 13 entities, about 57 endpoints and 97 test files, including tests on real databases in containers.
